ViiV asked us to lead one of their innovation projects. HIV home self-tests have been around for 1 year in the UK and there is a new patient behaviour existing around this type of product. The challenge was to re-integrate it with the patient's path to treatment.
Working with research communities and patient organisations we explored the way new services coudld work to integrate this new type of product.
Current approaches to healthcare and their services are very quantitative. We realised that the decision point for a patient with a positive test result lies in the qualitative reality of the context.
Applying best practice service design methodologies we created a variety of service solutions, one of which we got to pilot funding with an MVP to go live within the next few months.
